I hope you also read the chapter i and the chapter ii

Considering the workload to raise the roof of the R5 as on Christian de Léotard models. A lot of shaping work should have been done with solder, then create custom side windows. Dirk prefers to leave the standard roof like on the first version of the R5 TS before it goes to the bodybuilder Lecoq and he will have 2 R5 TS, one to 4 wheels and one to 6 wheels.

In the meantime let's see the work he did on the R5.

Rust removal on the front of the body.

Re-dressage of the body at the front because there was a slight space

The passenger side also suffered slight rust damage. Everything was treated with a rust converter, then a rust protection paint and a sealant for the chassis.

Dirk removed the cable harness and prepared the accessories for the engine compartment so that the painter had less work. He then put 2 grids below the body.

After all this, he will only have 2 important points to make. First of all, check that the serial rear axle support is not damaged by rust and then reassemble the roof.

His fiberglass specialist made new interior coatings for the roof covering where he could later cut the 2 pieces and laminate them together.

Hopefully there is only one chapter left, and that soon we will discover this new Renault 5 TS 6 wheels !

Dirk had suggested to me that the 6 wheels would go into paint as soon as its R5 Group 2 would be over…

Good luck for the Dirk suite, We are with you.
