The R5 at 6 tatjana wheels & Dirk Dutschmann – Chapter I
I hope you also read the chapter ii and the Chapter III
My passion for cars 6 started wheeled through Christian Leotard, I think it is the same for Tatjana Dirk Dutschmann… I know very little about this man priori German or Austrian, if not he has attacked again Renault 5 to 6 wheels, in 6×2 from the next photo that I didn't know, before seeing her.
This is the Renault 5 TS by Christian de Léotard (Supposed to be an Alpine R5…) before it passes into the hands of the bodybuilder Lecoq. Tatjana Dirk thought this model still existed, when she became the R5 red by Cathy Garnier with the rear extension like the Matra Simca Rancho.
So Tatjana Dirk started looking for 3 Renault 5, Here are the first to be used for the back
The cut will be made following the line
maybe the engine will be retained, in any case the front was retained.
A second Renault 5 will be used for on-roof élèvement, the blank is already done.
Then a third Renault 5 will be required to forward, Here is an overview of all !
The whole is loaded onto a trailer and the garage for the steering assembly. It seems simple, but there is a sacred work to do.
Here we go, cutting the back of the last R5
Placement of the back of the other
adjustments
And the first problem, the roofs that are not flat ! to redo…
join the 2 pieces of R5
Creating an amount of separation of rear quarter panels
And welding of the amount
It starts to take shape
Preparation roofs for welding
A priori, the roof is made
Work continues
Finishes welding and cementing of the body
The interior is also re-worked
A tire size test for effect 6×6, but the car will still be 6×2.
Painting of new wheels, there is stock.
Installation of the new wheels
Were the last pictures that I have, priori they are dated, I do not know if the work continued or not, I really hope to have news soon.
Tatjana Dirk Dutschmann himself, who presents us his future steering wheel !
This is good news. Tatjana Dirk Dutschmann has contacted me and is giving us news about her Renault. 5 to 6 wheels.
The engine was removed from the bodywork for a new restoration and from October 2018, it is planned to continue.
Some welds have been redone
Dumbass !
It’s huge actually !
In the meantime, an R5 4 project×4 was launched.
Tires with rims from the 6 wheels are already finished.
We look forward to the rest !
