Single seat 5 wheels - Nguyen Van Thang 2013
Nguyen Van Thang (mechanic in Hanoi) built this single-seater car in 5 wheels only with recycled spare parts from cars and motorcycles.
M. Thang was previously the first Vietnamese to build a mini helicopter and made a test flight near his house.
Mr. Thang called him “T-babacar”. With Thang's T, ‘Ba Ball’ like his nickname and ‘because’ like car.
The car “autonomous” T-babacar owns 5 wheels, 2 front wheel drive. The rear wheel is from a BMW X6 and the front wheels are from a BMW series 3.
metal tubes and thick sheets make up the car body.
The body is very aerodynamic, it grazes the front tires and forms a drop towards the rear, a bit like motorcycles from the movie Tron.
Engine 4 Yamaha time to 4 cylinders powers the T-babacar. Transmission takes place on the two front wheels, the next two wheels and the rear wheel are free. The 4 front wheels are steered.
The interior of the T-Babacar is filled with buttons on each side of the steering wheel for the electric opening of the single glass door, ventilation switches, of the air conditioner, etc. The Deawoo Matiz provided the majority of interior elements such as the steering wheel, the pedals, gear levers and handbrake.
It is equipped with 2 large disc brakes in the rear wheel and 4 handcrafted front disc brakes. Spring shock absorbers equip the 5 wheels.
It's at the end 2013 that Nguyen had the idea of building this car the day he recovered the wheels of a BMW X6. He put 1 year to build his T-babacar.

Notice that our national singer France Gall had sung Babacar long before Nguyen !
