Citroën Tissier “CX14” – 1981
In 1980, Pierre Tissier present on the Citroën stand at the Paris Motor CX “Penthouse”, a prototype which validated the & rsquo; d & rsquo feasibility study; a vehicle both very fast and Living.
Based on a small volume bagagere, l & rsquo; interior was very complete, the facilities of luxurious comfort and meticulous presentation made it a recreational vehicle peerless. The engine was powerful 2400 GTI.
The rear compartment was designed by Dubicamper (divided into two parts : living and health).
This amazing car was a great success d & rsquo; esteem and strong it, Pierre Tissier who here making a foray into an area much less utility that & rsquo; usual, sees the & rsquo; idea to continue this.
At & rsquo; like the CX Penthouse which refers to US vans, c & rsquo; is this time US airport liaison vehicles going the & rsquo; inspire.
Indeed, the US up & rsquo; to the years 80, it was common to find in the largest cities such “mini-bus” based on the cars say tourisms, greatly lengthened.
They allowed to make trips between urban centers and airports as quickly and comfortably as buses or subways for clients traveling to the day, including professional business, which outweighed little baggage.
The best known of them are certainly the “Checker Aérobus”.
These shuttles could carry up & rsquo; to 15 passengers.
Luxurious versions based on the Oldsmobile Toronado of 1969.
It was in 1981 that “CX14” named born it does not actually takes elements of ommuns other transformations Tissier… the same frame is different and is similar to that of CX Loadrunner.
It comes in the form of & rsquo; a huge break in the design similar to the standard and is distinguished by its 6 gates and 3 banquettes 4 seats giving a loading capacity 14 people (driver realized) while maintaining a sufficient trunk space.
It is totally in the recipe “airport shuttles” previously cited.

Note that Pierre Tissier used a maximum of & rsquo; elements from the series thus saving heavy costs & rsquo; design and manufacture custom-made :
- The lights and rear bumpers are d & rsquo; origin ;
- The doors in a row 2 come from the sedan and are extended to match the rebate the following door ;
- a rank 3, the doors are from the break and are not modified ;
- All mechanical locks and hinges are preserved ;
- The side box windows are from the break (2 the same time).
C & rsquo; is why the foot circles in a row 2 and 4 are so massive because the windows frames are strictly conserved.
The CX14 in its first definition.
D & rsquo; elsewhere to visually hide the less graceful parts, the window frames are treated in black, an optical trick simulating a single band.

In 2019, on a Facebook Group :
Sometime ago, there was an article on the CX Tissier Roland Garros 14 places. The photos accompanying this article were dated (2007). As I was able to speak to Citromobile owner 2019, I asked him if he could send me recent photos. And he did.
The last time the CX14 was moved from one storage to another, these three photos were taken.
Please keep in mind that the current owner has saved this car from scrap metal and will someday restore it.. In the meantime, it will remain as it is, so that he is not to blame but to be congratulated for having saved this unique CX Tissier!
You could have let me from my picture “The crude bodywork CX14”
