Octo-rod – Enoch Johnson – 1961
Swedish parents Enoch (Nickie) Johnson came to settle in Murdo, the United States of America around 1900, his father was a bricklayer and carpenter, and it was he who built the stone house for his family. Enoch and his wife Eva were known through their musical band playing in the area.
When not playing music, He was an inventor and had a garage to tinker.
He invented a stove, cement blocks, and a car 8 wheels, l’Octo-rod qu’il a mis 15 years to build, from 1946 to 1961.
The Octo-rod was driven by a Dodge Red Ram Hemi V8 5,4 liters and 180 cv, motor 1951.
Today the car 8 wheel is still visible at the Pioneer Auto Museum, Murdo in South Dakota.
