Octoauto Milton Reeves – 1910
Milton Reeves
At the beginning of the 20th century, the roads were not like what it is today, when it rained, ruts racked in country roads, and a fortiori, it was not that obvious to ride quietly driving a car they were so rutted. When the roads were dry, it necessarily like tracks ATV, uninviting in comfort, especially when you think, that the air chambers did not exist and that the auto suspensions were in their infancy.

Milton Reeves, absolutely wanted to improve the comfort of the early cars 1900 by the 'float’ (sic) ruts and bumps on roads.
In 1910 Milton Reeves created Octoauto, strange car 6,10 meters long mounted 8 wheels, 4 at the front and 4 in back. The pair of front wheels of the rear axle transmission and served 8 vehicle steering wheels were, the 4 back in reverse pivot, for rotation shorter. The wheel travel while the front was superior to the following. A true of 8x2x8 1910 !
Pullman effect of this car easy to drive’ put a big issue at the time, it was costing 3200 $, is 2000 $ more than 4 classic wheels. It was produced only a single copy.
