The Van 6 Gabriel Voisin's wheels – 1957
The 8 October 1957 opened at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, the Cycle and Motocycle Show, in which you could see a… van, signed Gabriel Voisin, famous aircraft manufacturer, but also cars. However, that same day, the motor show opened at the Grand-Palais in Paris.
The Voisin Planes Van was tiny, with an empty weight of 400 kg but can carry a load of 600 kg maximum on its 6 wheels. She was powered by a Gnome and Rhône engine 200 cm3 developing 13 ch with a box 4 speeds. It was entirely built in Duralinox, an ultra light alloy.
The 2 rear axles were mounted on independent torsion leaf spring suspensions in a protective tube and fitted with 4 disc brakes.
The driving front axle is equipped with differential brakes.
The 6 tires are 4×10.
The van was driving at 50 km / h and consumed 7 liters 100 km. It was available in 4 versions with 4 or 6 wheels and different deck lengths.
The Van has never been produced in series, it has remained as a prototype with collectors, it was presented at the Retromobile of 2014 in Paris
