Jaguar MK X 6 wheels – Wrecker racetrack
During a very long time, I dismissed this superb Jaguar Mark X 6 wheels of my site thinking it was a possible fake.
But thanks to the discoveries of my friend Thierry Parent, I can present it formally certifying that this is indeed a original model.
It is in this particular day 31 May 2018 I was looking for information on another Jaguar 6 wheels (style P34) that I stumbled across our mark X tow truck model in color ! It lacks the cache of the rear wheels, but we have more car details, and perhaps a feature, EURO it is marked on the roof in place of TMW…
We also know the author of the photo, Pete Edgeler, who took this photo at the Grand Prix 1 Silverstone in 1981 ! Here is my confirmation, and it will allow me perhaps in the future may find more photos, especially if you were at this Grand Prix and you dive back into your pictures, to find me more photos of this amazing tow truck !
It is confirmed to be a Jaguar MK10 double rear axle, that she is British and that the same raged on the Northern Motorway in France ten years ago… (at the date of the book)
Do not hesitate to contact me in the comments if you know more about where on marc@sixmania.fr !

However, this great Jaguar supposed to be the "flagship" brand does not lack interest, and lays the foundation for the design of the Jaguar 30 following years.
In 1961 However, Jaguar on the rise. The Mark II is a great success since 1959, the stunning E-Type has been launched, Daimler and just absorbed a year earlier. Sir William Lyons wants to strike a blow and drive the point home by replacing the Mark IX very old school with a modern standard bearer able to go tickle Rolls Royce or Bentley for 3 times cheaper, and especially to conquer the American Eldorado.
