She is also knowned under the name of Fiat 500 Lizard or Ferrario Lizard 500.

It’s an Italian ATV, “beach vehicle” category, like Diane Méhari.

The prototype was built as a personal vehicle for recreational purposes by brothers Carlo Ferrario and Giuseppe Ferrario (born in 1916), former blacksmiths and owners of a petrol station in Albavilla (CO), and designed with the collaboration of Giuseppe Mauri. The prototype quickly proved to be a particularly interesting vehicle for original technical solutions and for extreme adaptability to alpine mule tracks, yes well 24 copies were built (from 1969 to 1974), all made to order.

The originality of this all terrain comes from the fact that many technical solutions come from other vehicles.

The bodies were manufactured by the body shop “Introzzi” de Lipomo (CO) and by that “Bodywork Alta Brianza”.
