The modular concept

Different applications require different payloads so a number of different truck types. Currently the proposed truck range solve this by producing different models. The same basic design, but only bigger. This results in high manufacturing costs due to small series.

Large_haul_trucks.bmp

All components are different, such as: engines, gearboxes, drivelines, the front and rear axles, suspensions, rims, tires, brakes and frames are different for different types of trucks. The cost of spare parts inventory for manufacturers and customers are huge.

ETF uses a modular design for its various types of trucks. This means that all components are the same, only the number of items varies according to different types of trucks. (See photos below)

axles, suspensions, rims, tires, brakes and even motors are all the same. The cost of the engineering and production are much lower than current large transport trucks.

AXE UNIQUE CONFIGURATION AND SYSTEM (16x16x16)

Compared to existing vehicles, ETFs are totally different trucks. Large trucks have two axles, a thruster. Articulated Dump Trucks have three axles of which two or three are driven.

ETF truck DT 300 has eight axles and six wheels. All of them are motorized and directors. 16x16x16 This configuration is unique in the industry. Each axle line consists of two swing axles.

electric motors are installed on EVERY wheels, and these are powered by one or more auxiliary thermal engine coming into action according to the power demand.

All electric motors of the wheels are also used as retarders. The braking energy is regenerated, this results in fuel savings.

small power

most temp, freight transport accounts for only half of the work schedule made time. During the other half, the truck is empty. Diesel engines are not effective under partial load conditions.
ETF has developed a creative way to overcome this lack of efficiency. Instead of having a big engine, originality comes from the use of four small engines. One motor is used for the vacuum transport period, two or three engines are in service in transport support, and the fourth goes into action when the power demand to climb the odds ! The alternator / starter is used to start the engine in a split second necessary. The whole operation is fully automatic and can not be influenced by the driver.

Suspension hydropneumatique

ETF developed a hydro-pneumatic suspension that protects the main framework for road irregularities and loading constraints. . Another feature of the suspension is improved stability when negotiating curves which leads to higher speed limits, and thus shorter journey times.
The wheels are always in contact with the road surface to optimize traction.

Chassis frame MONORAIL
in time the main frame of a truck is often the element that determines the vehicle's life. . ETF has developed an innovative solution : Monorail framework. Instead of a frame above the axle of the vehicle, the ETF framework is between the axles. Each existing vehicles are four points that the total load is transferred to the wheels. The ETF axle monorail system have them eight points on which the load is transferred to the wheels. In this way, forces to the frame are better equalized. Fuel and hydraulic oil tanks are mounted within the frame.
The combined monorail construction with suspension reduces fatigue, hence a long life.

lower center of gravity

60% the dead weight of the vehicle is less than 1.50m from the ground. Due to the monorail framework, etf of the truck loading height may be limited to ca.. 4m, which is at least less than 1m most trucks.
Exchange system dump
Each ETF truck is equipped with a tipper exchange system. This allows the user to load trucks without loss of temple waiting to load. Furthermore it is possible to use different type of dump and depending on the type of materials used

Effective use of tires :

Four axle lines with a total of sixteen tires are used to transfer the weight of the vehicle on the road. The axles of the oscillating 10 degrees left and right. The ETF suspension is softer than the average tire. During the vacuum use, eight tires are lifted to reduce costs. All the wheels are steering to individual which is also an advantage for tire wear. In the case of a flat tire axle is automatically lifted.

ETF developed an axle changing system. A complete axle with tires can be exchanged in 15 minutes.

The axle configuration and allows the distribution of load on all tires. This reduces heat buildup in the tire and also has a significant impact on the construction of roads.

The total load is distributed on all axles, thus avoiding excessive load on a single axle and limiting the risk of collapse during unloading !

Axle configuration allows to avoid accidents that could produce this with a conventional system

STEERING SYSTEM :
ETF has developed a unique management system. All wheels are low and medium speed guidelines by reducing tire wear. At high speed the last two axle lines become rigid. The change would result in better driving.

The whole system runs automatically without operator intervention.
The short turning radius is possible !

Exceptional cab
To reduce driver fatigue, ETF has made considerable efforts to make driving easier. The result is a simple operation, just a steering wheel, an accelerator and the brake pedal. Everything else is automated. This allows the operator to focus only on driving.

The cabin is the workplace of the driver. It is equipped with a modern climate control system.

To keep food and drinks cool, it is also equipped with a refrigerator.

The cabin has three seats hanging, each side of the driver can sit an instructor and a trainee. All seats are equipped with safety and ventilation belts.

The steering column can be tilted to 50 °, and the pedals can be raised 200 mm. This gives the best fit for all operators, Height

unbeatable visibility :

Visibility for the driver is unbeatable, because of the large windows at the front and on both sides give it an excellent panoramic view

ETF190b.jpg

Outside mirrors are replaced by cameras. In total, five camera giving operators the best possible visibility. Two camera on the front, one on each side and one on the back is ensuring that the driver can see around the vehicle, no blind spots.

To avoid too many monitors, the cabin has only three, one left, a right and the last center

ETF trucks are used in extreme climatic conditions, in the deserts of Australia to Siberia continent. To ensure that the temperature has no influence on the operator's performance, the cabin temperature is completely isolée.Aussi windows are a unique design. The windows are made of laminated glass.

The operator is protected from heat, cold, Noise and always has good visibility in all weather conditions.

its access :

Access is an important safety issue. On sites often the floor is dirty. Slide the ladders currently still too often. Ladders are constructed of special material that makes possible access securely with dirty shoes. Once the operator has reached the platform scale retracts, by creating a protective barrier around the platform for increased security. For safety at night, levels are lit by LED strips.
