It was in 1984 that history has begun, a Ford was given to the foundation Orange Show. Then Jackie Harris, an artist from Houston turned the truck into art. This was followed by an exhibition every year, with more and more cars, art.
In 1986 a Road Orange Show was held with a parade 11 Car-art 1400 Houstonians attended.
It was in 1988 the Houston Artcar Parade actually started, with 40 Car-art and seen by 2000 spectators. The next year, there was 80 Car-art and tens of thousands of spectators ...

Today Houston Artcar Parade still exists, more than 250 art vehicles of all kinds come from across the country and even elsewhere, and attracts a crowd 250.000 spectators !

The car that interests us today on SixMania.fr course is a six-wheeled, but tracked in the back and she was in Houston Artcar Parade 2003.
I struggled to find the original of this car model, but thanks to my many friends very professional, it turns out that the original model was a Chevrolet Impala 1966 !

There is just the shape of the rear quarter panels that do not match, but given the changes, canon, machine guns, 3 axles and bull bar that does not hinder.

I have found a video of Houston Artcar Parade 2003, although it appears there, at the beginning, but unfortunately we do not see scroll, I think the lack of tires prevented him parade !

Il n'y to 2 Photos of this 6 wheels on the web, a very poor, and a much more beautiful that I have found the original photographer on Flickr.

Photos taken from the YouTube video ! You can enjoy the time show…
