L’ Hannibal 8 (01/01/2007)

This film with Tony Curtis, reproduced a great race car, had to build 6 during the movie, so the lift was fragile… It is visible today in the Museum Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, in California.
Buggyfamily2 thank you, I did not know the existence of this car.

Hannibal 8 was custom built by Warner Bros at a cost of 150 000 dollars in 1965, about three times the cost of a house at the time. This is a George Barris Custom model.

It has all the special effects gadgets such as the gas nozzles in the ends of the rockets to provide flames for the propulsion effects. It has a barrel sticking out and retracting from the hood of the car and a working smoke screen generator.

The thing rolls on rails and is powered by a Corvair flat 6 and an automatic transmission.

The elevated car, the American Museum.
